FAIR publishing recommendations for IEA Wind TCP Tasks

These "FAIR publishing recommendations for IEA Wind TCP Tasks" were devloped as part of the CHORD-IEA funded by the swissuniversities Open Science Programme II and in collaboration with IEA Wind Task 43 on Digitalisation. We recommend the following: We recommend to publish data, reports and other Task outputs on Zenodo, unless they are already published somewhere else with a DOI (Digital Object Identifier), such as journal publications or in university repositories. Example: IEA Wind Task 43 report -A guide to improving digital organisationalculture in wind energy When publishing a record, we recommend to exhaust all the available upload fields, populating every provided field whether required or not. Clearly state the procedure to access the data and any terms of use in the description field (use a CC license where possible). Add relevant keywords that describe your work (e.g.based on WEAVE), and “IEA Wind TCP”, “IEA Wind Task xx” and “Wind power” (EuroSciVoc/ GEMET). Example: OC6 Phase III: Validation of Wind Turbine Aerodynamic Loading During Surge/Pitch Motion To improve discoverability and community reach, we recommend using ZenodoCommunities: submit each Zenodorecord to the “IEA Wind TCP Community”, as well as your own task-specific ZenodoCommunity, which you can create yourself (“IEA Wind Task xx SHORT NAME”). Example: IEA Wind Task 43 ZenodoCommunity If the record is required to be published on a platform that doesn’t support DOIs or Google Dataset Search, then you can create a new Zenodorecord that contains a metadata file, in which it is clearly stated how to access the data, including any terms of use or licensing conditions. Example: Croissant metadata for the Danish Energy Agency monthly electricity supply statistics (2000 to present) For code, we recommend to use a Git platform for code versioning, sharing and publishing. In GitHub, you can create an “organisation” for your Task in order toorganisedifferent repositories, and you can consolidate your repositories the “IEA Wind TCP” GitHub organisation. Once the project has finished, you should archive the repository on Zenodo using the in-built GitHub integration attached to your Zenodo account. Example: The WRA Data Model archive
