The purpose of this study is driven by the fact that the institution of security has always attracted the interest of the scientific community. Research in the field of security is particularly relevant in the context of various threats. Moreover, the institution of security is so broad that it is relevant in a wide range of social relations. The importance and significance of security on a national scale are widely recognized. However, there are relatively few academic studies dedicated to the concept of «security» as a legal category, which should not be viewed as a factor that diminishes the relevance of the institution, but rather as a challenge that requires resolution.
