The Six Pillars of Human Loyalty: Development Record of the Loyalty Series
This document is the development record of The Six Pillars of Human Loyalty, a framework by Gary Chitzu Yeung that views loyalty as a human relationship sustained by six non-substitutable relational conditions. The six are Recognition, Dependability, Security, Connection, Respect and Understanding. The framework itself is stated in Version 1.0, published in October 2026. This record does something different. It brings together the 33 LinkedIn posts of the Loyalty Series, written between May and September 2026, in which the framework was worked out from observations in retail, wholesale and premium service. The posts are reproduced as published, with hashtags and one photo credit removed and one spelling mistake corrected. They are arranged in three parts. Part A, Where it started, covers premium experience, trust and the feeling of being seen. Part B, A side thread, covers customers who shop by transition rather than by category. Part C, The framework, introduces Optimised Loyalty, each of the six pillars, and the distinction between Optimised and Conditional Loyalty. The record also shows how the thinking changed. The pillars began as a sequence and became conditions that hold at the same time. Conditional Loyalty was first defined by total support, and later by whether any single pillar falls below what the customer needs, which became the Non-Substitution Principle. Early posts are left unchanged so these turning points remain visible. This is Stage 1 of a series that continues with Agentic AI in Customer Relationships (Stage 2) and Customer Interaction Management (Stage 3). Introductions and captions are in English and Traditional Chinese. The posts are in English.
