Why Many? Multiplicity, Localization and the Lived Trajectory in the Unified Fractal Consciousness Theory
Why does experience exist as many individual, embodied perspectives rather than as one? This preprint, a foundational section of the Unified Fractal Consciousness Theory (UFCT), addresses this narrower question without claiming to solve the hard problem. Starting from a declared dual-aspect premise, it argues four theses: experience requires a distinction; a trajectory requires matter; trajectories are non-redundant; and what multiplicity adds to unity is not content but actualization, the passage from the possible to the lived. These theses are linked to the UFCT dynamics of significant events (threshold, recurrence as phase slips, integration as phase-locking), to an account of the subject as the relation between a biological observer and the observer of the field, and to five testable predictions with independent operational definitions. An interpretive section develops the image of the Buddhabrot as the "negative" through which the field is revealed. Limits are stated explicitly. Supplement to "The Fractal Equation of Consciousness" (DOI 10.5281/zenodo.23661227). Available in English and Italian. Supplemento a "The Fractal Equation of Consciousness" (DOI 10.5281/zenodo.23661227).
