The economic dimension of implementing IT and media technologies in Russian shipbuilding

The economic dimension of introducing IT and media technologies into the domestic shipbuilding industry is gaining priority importance in the context of the accelerated digital transformation of the industrial complex, as well as the growing requirements for construction timeframes, quality characteristics, and the cost of complex ship equipment. The Russian shipbuilding industry is characterized by significant capital intensity, long production cycles, and an extensive system of inter organizational cooperation. Under such conditions, digital solutions should be considered not only as a technological tool but also as a managerial and economic factor of competitiveness, determining the rational use of resources and the stability of enterprises in domestic and foreign markets. The aim of this study is to substantiate the economic consequences and determine the conditions for the effective implementation of IT and media technologies in the Russian shipbuilding industry, taking into account sectoral limitations and the specifics of the institutional environment.
