The first records of Diabole cubensis (Raveneliaceae, Pucciniales) in Eurasia
This study is dedicated to the first records of Diabole cubensis on Mimosa pigra (Fabaceae) identified in Gia Lai and Lam Dong Provinces in Vietnam, which also represent the first records for Eurasia. Our findings are supported by both morphological and molecular analyses. The newly obtained LSU (28S) nucleotide sequences from the Vietnamese specimens of Diabole cubensis form a well-supported clade (BS = 100%) within the family Raveneliaceae (Pucciniales). However, to resolve the precise phylogenetic position of Diabole within Raveneliaceae, as well as within the broader systematics of rust fungi, the inclusion of type material in future analyses remains essential.
