Propuesta de mejora de un sistema agroforestal en la comunidad de Chorreras, km 12 vía Macas

The objective of this research is to propose proposals for an agroforestry system (SAF), to improve the living conditions of the people of the Chorreras community, generating economic and environmental benefits that favor sustainable development in the short, medium and long term. Agroforestry systems are a method used from the soil, with the combination of tree and shrub species, agricultural crops and domestic livestock, in the same area. In current uses, we make known what products the farm has, and with our proposals we seek to diversify production through a comprehensive approach that includes agricultural crops of high commercial value and pastures with legumes of Leucaena leucocephala (Guaje) and Moringa oleifera (Moringa) , timber forest species with Cedrela odorata (Cedro), Ceiba pentandra (Ceibo), Mauritia flexuosa (Morete), small birds with Gallus domesticus (creole chickens), aquatic species with Arapaima gigas (paiche) and Piaractus brachypomus (cachama). These measures are expected to lead to positive results, including increased agricultural productivity, soil restoration and a balanced coexistence between different elements, which will offer long-term economic benefits.
