Review of the conference book Corporate governance: Theory and the best practices by I. Galavotti, A. Kostyuk, & M. Situm
The conference proceedings book Corporate Governance: Theory and the Best Practices, edited by Ilaria Galavotti, Alexander Kostyuk, and Mario Situm, presents a multidisciplinary collection of contemporary research addressing the evolving nature of corporate governance in an increasingly complex global business environment. The proceedings originate from the International Online Conference held on June 4, 2026, and bring together contributions organized into four principal thematic sessions: board of directors’ practices, environmental, social, and governance (ESG) and Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) practices, reporting and disclosure, and general issues of corporate governance. The volume reflects the growing recognition that corporate governance extends beyond conventional monitoring mechanisms and regulatory compliance to encompass strategic decision-making, sustainability, technological innovation, organizational accountability, and long-term value creation.
