Where MahaRERA complaints are: concentration across 55,399 registered real-estate projects in Maharashtra

We matched MahaRERA's public Project Wise Complaint List (read on 21 October 2026) against MahaRERA's register of 55,399 real-estate projects in Maharashtra. 6,446 projects (11.6%) have at least one registered complaint, 32,406 complaints in all. Complaints are highly concentrated: 427 projects, under 1% of all registered projects, account for half of them; 17 projects have 100 or more. By district, the share of projects with at least one complaint ranges from 28.1% in Mumbai city and 25.0% in Mumbai Suburban to 2.8% in Nashik (Maharashtra: 12.9%, projects with a known district).
