Solving the Problem of Time in Quantum Gravity: The TER Framework with N_0 = T_0 and Nothon as Quantum of Time
Problem of Time is the central obstruction in quantum gravity: the Wheeler DeWitt equation ˆHΨ = 0 contains no time variable, implying a frozen, static universe, while quantum mechanics requires iℏ∂tΨ = ˆHΨ. This paper presents the solution within the Temporal Emergence Reality (TER) framework (Masood 2023-2026). We propose N0 = T0, where Nothingness (N0, absence of Space & Time, pre-Big Bang reality) equals the first quantum of time. This quantum is named Nothon (t0). Time is not a coordinate but a physical flux field — the Fifth Force —flowing with quanta (Nothons). Space is Time flowing orthogonally. Mass is condensed Time (Mt). Light is Time made visible (Photon = t0). Gravity is density gradient of Time. Black Hole is pure Nothon where T → 0 but Nothon flux remains. The wavefunction is redefined as ΨT ER = f (Nothon flux) with dT̸ = 0 always, so evolution never freezes. Thus quantum gravity emerges from quantized Time, not quantization of geometry. TER replaces static formalism with dynamic flux-based evolution, resolving the paradox and preserving information at singularities.
