DENTIN HYPERSENSITIVITY DURING MENOPAUSE: COMBINED TREATMENT AND PREVENTION
Dentin hypersensitivity is a common dental problem that reduces quality of life. During menopause, declining estrogen levels are considered one of the predisposing factors. This work compares monotherapy with a combined approach integrating systemic therapy (hormone replacement) and local treatment (desensitizing agents, fluorides, remineralization). Combined treatment provided the most pronounced and stable reduction in sensitivity and led to clinical remission in most patients.
