iOS and Android Interoperability for Secure Third Party AI Tools - Cross-Platform Execution Finality, Hardware Security, and Interoperability
Beyond AI Sandboxes and Permission Checks: A Technical Specification for Cross-Platform AI Execution Finality, Hardware Security, and Interoperability New here? Download the presentation first for a quick visual overview, then the full specification. The problem AI agents no longer just generate text. They run code, call APIs, operate browsers, move money, and control devices across iOS, Android, desktop, cloud, and hardware. An agent can be sandboxed, logged in, and approved by a permission check, and still lack the authority to cause the specific effect it is about to cause, at the moment that effect occurs. Sandboxes limit where an agent runs. Permission checks approve categories of action. Neither binds authority to the actual operation presented at the point where it takes effect. The core idea Computation is not authority to act. The specification treats computing an action and making it effective as separate, independently verified steps: Candidate Act → Non-Effective State → Protected Validation → Scoped Finality Authority → Finality Sink Verification → Controlled Effectuation A proposed operation stays non-effective until an independent Finality Sink reconstructs the actual operation and verifies protected evidence and scoped, non-bearer, single-use authority. If any check fails, the effect does not happen. What the specification covers AI-agent security: tool execution, prompt-injection containment, external-action authorization iOS, Android, and cross-platform interoperability for third-party AI tools Agent gateways, sandbox egress, credential release, and non-bypassable enforcement Trusted execution environments, kernel mediation, virtualization, and hardware command boundaries Multi-agent delegation, causal dependencies, conflicting operations, and revocation Cloud, enterprise, financial, robotics, and safety-relevant systems The full document contains the detailed embodiments, definitions, workflows, and algorithms. Run it yourself: reference implementation with 400 automated tests https://github.com/sangmdas/ios-android-ai-execution-finality A vendor-neutral Python and SQLite reference model of the core workflow. All 400 tests pass. It demonstrates: the exact SHA-256 commitment of a Candidate Act and its Non-Effective State; operation-bound authority checks: principal, tenant, route, resource, quota, expiry, and generation; independent Finality Sink verification of the actual operation; single-use scoped authority and replay prevention; revocation and ownership epochs; atomic consumption, plus crash and lost-acknowledgement recovery; causal receipts between dependent operations. bash git clone https://github.com/sangmdas/ios-android-ai-execution-finality cd ios-android-ai-execution-finality python -m pip install -e . python -m pytest -q # 400 passed The model is platform-neutral. It does not include privileged iOS or Android system hooks, TEE or hardware enforcement, or cross-system atomic transactions. Those mechanisms are described in the specification.
