Fanget mellem solidaritet og litterær lidenhed
The paper analyses the entanglement of contemporary Belarusian literary life with the German-speaking world through the lens of field theory and concepts of literary ‘smallness’. Examining positions adopted by both sides in the process of mediation, it argues that the entanglement – through prizes, translations, etc. – both provides support to the independent sector of the Belarusian literary field and reproduces a politicized image of Belarusian literary life.
