Cultura Oceânica: Criação de uma Mentalidade Marinha para a Conservação do Oceano por meio de Materiais Ecopedagógicos

The ocean plays a central role in climate regulation, Earth’s dynamics, and the sustenance of life, but it is under intense anthropogenic pressure, with impacts that lead to biodiversity loss and the impairment of ecosystem services. Furthermore, there is a wide gap between society and the ocean, where ocean culture remains underdeveloped. Our objective was to create eco-educational materials based on research into coral reefs in Sergipe, using a qualitative and transdisciplinary approach grounded in Aesthetic Environmental Education and Ocean Literacy. We present the methodological process, centered on Aesthetic Environmental Education and Ocean Culture, based on data from Scientific Diving campaigns conducted between 2023 and 2025. The results were the creation of materials written in accessible language designed for both formal and non-formal educators. The main contribution lies in the availability of these materials—which are often scarce on this topic—and in the potential of these digital resources to strengthen ocean culture and foster the development of citizens committed to marine conservation.
