Pistas para uma transição comunal? Trabalho socialmente necessário no Livro I d’O Capital

This article explores a specific reading of Capital, Volume I, to identify clues regarding the relationship between "abstract labor" and "communal temporality". To this end, the study analyzes excerpts where Marx discusses socially necessary labor and the conditions under which it "jails" social relations within the logic of value production. From this, it was examinated the tensions between socially necessary labor time and communal temporality, drawing on authors from diverse Marxist traditions who address the transition process. Ultimately, the analysis reveals that Marx’s discussion of socially necessary labor in Capital helps refute wage labor as a foundation for communal transition processes; furthermore, it offers six insights into the "moments" of socially necessary labor time that communists must confront to overcome its inadequacy as a reference for socialism.
