Impact of Narrative Perspective on Empathy in Adolescents

This research proposal examines how first-person and third-person limited narrative perspectives may influence cognitive empathy among adolescents aged 13–17. Drawing on existing psychological literature, it outlines a proposed experimental study to investigate how storytelling perspective shapes readers’ understanding of others’ thoughts and emotions, alongside a methodology, hypotheses, and plan for statistical analysis.
