Pengaruh Kepuasan Kerja terhadap Organization Citizenship Behaviour (OCB) pada Perawat di RSUD Tuanku Imam Bonjol dengan Komitmen Organisasi Sebagai Variabel Mediasi
This study aims “to examine the effect of job satisfaction on Organizational Citizenship Behaviour (OCB) among nurses at RSUD Tuanku Imam Bonjol, with organizational commitment as a mediating variable.” This research is motivated by the importance of Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) in supporting the performance of nursing duties and the quality of care in hospitals. Job satisfaction and organizational commitment are factors that can encourage nurses to exhibit positive behaviors and a willingness to perform tasks beyond their formal job requirements. This study employs a quantitative approach. The research population consists of 109 nurses at the Tuanku Imam Bonjol Regional General Hospital (RSUD), with a sample of 65 nurses selected via purposive sampling. Data were collected using a questionnaire based on a Likert scale and analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) using the Partial Least Squares (PLS) method via the SmartPLS software. The findings confirm that job satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on organizational commitment. Organizational commitment, in turn, has a positive and significant effect on OCB. Furthermore, organizational commitment is shown to significantly and positively mediate the relationship between job satisfaction and OCB. The results indicate that enhancing job satisfaction can strengthen organizational commitment, which subsequently fosters OCB among nurses. The implications of this study underscore the importance of creating a work environment that boosts nurse satisfaction and commitment, thereby supporting positive behaviors and the quality of care at the Tuanku Imam Bonjol Regional General Hospital.
