Digital literacy has become crucial in the era of modern higher education, particularly in supporting academic activities such as the writing of scholarly papers by students. This study aims to analyze the role of digital literacy in enhancing the quality of students' scholarly writing, covering aspects such as searching for credible sources, evaluating information, managing references, and preventing plagiarism. A descriptive qualitative research method was employed, utilizing a literature review approach and a survey of students across various higher education institutions. The findings indicate that students with a high level of digital literacy are able to produce scholarly papers with more valid arguments, more up-to-date references, and a higher degree of originality. Nevertheless, challenges such as the prevalence of false information (hoaxes) and a lack of in-depth understanding regarding digital ethics persist. Therefore, the integration of digital literacy into higher education curricula is highly recommended to optimize students' academic skills.
