Influence Of Leadership On Fatigue Among Nurses
A social hospital (Hospital X) located in Bogor is a non-profit institution that serves underprivileged patients, many of whom suffer from chronic or terminal illnesses. Given the limited resources available, this environment can lead to burnout among nursing staff. Such conditions necessitate transformational leadership to effectively manage operations and ensure the delivery of optimal healthcare services. This study employs a quantitative, analytical, cross-sectional design based on 2014 survey data—which remains valid for hypothesis testing—with a population of 56 inpatient nurses. The results indicate a significant negative relationship between transformational leadership and nurse burnout (p-value = 0.004; t-statistic = -3.043; constant B = -0.657), suggesting that the implementation of transformational leadership can reduce burnout levels among nurses. It is recommended that hospital leadership remain attentive to nurse burnout, as it has the potential to compromise the quality of nursing care.
