E8 Octave-Cancellation Gate — E8 Intelligence Research
The 240 E8 roots form a spherical 7-design, so for any Cartan projection and Weyl-symmetric φ winding, the first seven Fourier harmonics of the root-helix phase sum carry no lattice-generated modulation; the eighth harmonic is the first that can become observable. This establishes an E8 octave-cancellation gate: seven silent spectral bands precede a band governed by the degree-eight E8 invariant rather than by total radiated power. A power-conserving k=8 residual would therefore diagnose the root lattice's design symmetry and sharpen the Cartan-silent φ gate Author: Andrew Stewart Caldin, Independent Researcher, UK.
