Prevenção pelo ensino: reduzindo a atração de jovens pelas organizações criminosas

Education plays an essential role in crime prevention, especially when it comes to attracting young people to criminal organizations. Education not only offers opportunities for personal and professional development, but also acts as a mechanism for raising awareness and forming values that prevent the adoption of criminal behavior. The lack of access to quality education, especially in areas of social vulnerability, contributes to the increase in youth crime, as young people, without alternatives, can be seduced by promises of easy money and status within these organizations. Furthermore, school can function as a space for socialization and building positive bonds, distancing young people from risky environments. By promoting educational inclusion, with public policies aimed at improving teaching and programs that keep young people engaged, it is possible to combat the growth of criminal factions. Therefore, strengthening the educational system becomes an effective strategy to reduce the involvement of young people in organized crime.
