In her afterword, Pristed calls the attention of Passage’s readers to the voices they will not be able to hear in this issue. The effects of the ongoing war on research and rising security concerns make it difficult for area specialists within social sciences and humanities to access their fields of study, and for us to invite or translate contributions by Other Voices from East.
