STUDY OF THE CIRCUMSTANCES OF THE OCCURRENCE AND DEVELOPMENT OF FIRES AT TRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURE FACILITIES OF FEDERAL SIGNIFICANCE ON THE EXAMPLE OF THE RING ROAD AROUND SAINT-PETERSBURG

The article analyzes the circumstances of the occurrence and development of fires at transport infrastructure facilities of federal significance on the example of the Saint-Petersburg ring road. The specific features of the occurrence and development of fires at such facilities are identified, consisting in an increase in the time of free active flaming combustion before the start of fire extinguishing, associated with an increase in the arrival time of fire protection units due to the remoteness of the facility from other transport routes and possible traffic delays on the way due to heavy traffic. Emphasis is placed on the need to analyze significant thermal damage not only to the vehicles themselves, but also to the structural elements of the transport infrastructure, which also retain traces of fire development, including after the vehicle has been moved from the fire scene.
