Clinical and laboratory features and quality of life of children with severe bronchial asthma
Despite the wide range of available anti-inflammatory drugs for the treatment of asthma, about 10% of patients have severe disease, which represents a pressing issue in pediatrics and healthcare in general. Timely diagnosis of severe asthma is a key factor for a personalized approach to patient management, preventing irreversible airway remodeling, reducing the risk of life-threatening exacerbations, and improving quality of life. This article presents an analysis of clinical, laboratory, and instrumental data, as well as the quality of life of children suffering from severe asthma.
