Pengaruh Metode IOC (Inside Outside Circle) terhadap Hasil Belajar Siswa pada Mata Pelajaran Ekonomi Siswa SMPN 2 Jerowaru
This study aims to determine the effect of the Inside Outside Circle (IOC) learning method on the learning outcomes of eighth-grade students at SMPN 1 Jerowaru. This research employed a quasi-experimental method. The population consisted of eighth-grade students at SMPN 1 Jerowaru, which was divided into three classes, namely Class VIII A, Class VIII B, and Class VIII C, with a total of 81 students. The research sample consisted of 54 students selected using the cluster random sampling technique, with Class VIII B serving as the experimental class and Class VIII A as the control class. The research design used was the Pretest-Posttest Group Design. Data were collected through observation and learning outcome tests. The research instrument was a learning outcome test, whose validity was tested using the Product Moment correlation formula, while its reliability was tested using the KR-21 formula. The data were analyzed using the t-test. The results of the study showed that: (1) the learning outcomes of students who participated in learning using the Inside Outside Circle (IOC) method on the topic of price formation were categorized as high; (2) there was a positive and significant effect of the Inside Outside Circle (IOC) method on students' learning outcomes, with a significance value of 0.00 < 0.05, indicating that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted; and (3) future research should consider other variables beyond the learning method that may influence students' learning outcomes. Therefore, the Inside Outside Circle (IOC) method can be used as an alternative learning method to improve students' learning outcomes.
