Prosopometamorphopsia as Projection Distortion: A Geometric Framework with Testable Predictions
A geometric framework for prosopometamorphopsia: normal face perception is read as a successful projection matching an incoming configuration to a stored face template, and prosopometamorphopsia is read as the same projection with a perturbed geometry, described by four patient-varying parameters (stage, operator, extent, time course). The record includes a quantitative re-analysis of the published Sharrah visualisation and five prospective tests, each with a stated failure outcome.
