Prospects of Forensic Examination of Document Details in Which Were Produced Using Plotters

Based on the research conducted, recommendations have been formulated to enhance the effectiveness of the forensic examination of documents details in which could be produced using handwriting simulation devices (plotters). Based on the analysis of specialized literature and a study of expert practice, the necessity of revising existing classifications of handwriting simulation devices (plotters) is substantiated. A classification of attributes that accommodates the technical specifics of operation of such devices is proposed. A thesis is advanced, that increasing the reliability of expert findings is possible only through a comprehensive approach combining methods of handwriting analysis, technical forensic document examination, and computer forensic analysis.
