To Compare and Evaluate the Color Stability of Intrinsically Stained Artificially Aged Two Different Heat Polymerized Maxillofacial Silicone Elastomers by Addition of Zirconium Dioxide and Titanium Dioxide Nanoparticles - An In-Vitro Study
Background: Color stability is essential for the longevity and esthetic success of maxillofacial silicone prostheses. Heat-polymerized silicone elastomers are prone to discoloration following environmental exposure. Ultraviolet protective nanoparticles have been proposed to improve their optical stability. Aim: To compare the color stability of two intrinsically stained heat-polymerized maxillofacial silicone elastomers reinforced with zirconium dioxide (ZrO₂) and titanium dioxide (TiO₂) nanoparticles following artificial aging.
