Adaptive cognitive architecture: An open-source Python implementation for reproducible adaptive-network simulations

This paper presents Adaptive Cognitive Architecture , an open-source Python implementation of adaptive-network simulations with entropy-driven dynamics. The software translates the scenario-specific equations and update sequence of MATLAB scripts from an associated Decision Analytics Journal study into a transparent, platform-independent workflow. It enables users to run, inspect, and extend simulations of interacting cognitive, motivational, emotional, and behavioral states. The repository includes three workplace self-confidence scenarios: high self-esteem, high self-efficacy, and high self-concept. Each uses predefined parameters and produces reproducible state trajectories and visualizations. The openly licensed software supports reproduction, education, and methodological development in adaptive cognitive modeling.
