D1.1 MAA Strategic Plan (M12)

The D1.1 MAA Strategic Plan is a document of the LandShift project that presents the rationale, methodology, and framework for applying a transdisciplinary Multi-Actor Approach (MAA) to LandShift’s goal of promoting climate-resilient land-use through inclusive, participatory environments called Living Spaces (LSs). LandShift establishes LSs as participatory innovation environments where stakeholders co-create solutions aligned with EU climate goals and the New European Bauhaus principles. The plan ensures that the LandShift consortium follows an inclusive, coherent, yet flexible strategy for engaging stakeholders from all sectors (academia, industry, government, and civil society), while maintaining strong linkages with the environment, in line with the Quintuple Helix Innovation model. It fosters shared understanding, trust, and co-ownership to support collaborative decision-making. It also outlines how MAA principles are applied within the five LSs in France, Greece, Italy, Poland, and Ukraine. These spaces serve as real-world platforms for co-creation, experimentation, and learning, tailored to local needs and designed to support inclusive and adaptive land-use solutions. This strategic plan defines the purpose, principles, and operational structure of the MAA, ensuring its systematic integration across all project work packages. It supports the development of Multi-Actor Platforms (MAPs) that facilitate stakeholder engagement, knowledge exchange, and co-governance in land-use planning. The plan also outlines tools and methodologies such as participatory workshops, mapping exercises, and digital collaboration platforms to foster shared ownership and trust.
