The Effect of Educational Service Quality Recognized by College of Liberal Studies on Career Preparation Behavior: Mediating Effects of College Life Adaptation and Career Identity and moderating Effects of University Location

This study investigated 388 freshmen who entered college of liberal studies. The study measured the participants' perception of educational service quality, career preparation behavior, college life adaptation, and career identity. Based on these variables, two research models were established. First, the moderated mediation effect of college location on the relationship between educational service quality and career preparation behavior through college life adaptation. Second, the moderated mediation effect of college location on the relationship between educational service quality and career preparation behavior through career identity. The results indicated that both college life adaptation and career identity mediated the relationship between educational service quality and career preparation behavior in the respective models. However, the moderated mediation effect of university location was not statistically significant in either model. Based on these findings, educational and policy implications were discussed.
