Zero-Heap Edge Processing for Sub-Millisecond P2P Fraud Detection and Real-Time UPI Scam Prevention in Mobile Ecosystems
The rapid proliferation of real-time peer-to-peer (P2P) mobile payment ecosystems, such as the Unified Payments Interface (UPI), has coincided with an alarming rise in dark web banking data exposures and sophisticated social engineering attacks, including “Digital Arrest” coercion, executive impersonation, and targeted messaging scams. When customer Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and loan metadata are leaked, fraudsters weaponize these details to execute hyper-personalized psychological coercion. Traditional cloud-based anti-fraud architectures fail to mitigate these fast-moving threats due to network latency (> 500 ms), bandwidth overhead, dynamic memory allocation limits, and strict regulatory data localization mandates. This paper introduces the Local Financial Kernel (LFK), a novel zero-heap, on-device security engine compiled in low-level C++ for native mobile integration via the Android NDK and iOS wrappers. By utilizing an O(N) deterministic string-matching pipeline paired with a local contact relationship hierarchy (Tier 1 Verified Family vs. Tier 3 Unknown Strangers), LFK evaluates incoming notification vectors and pre-payment contexts in submillisecond execution times (< 0.1 ms) with zero dynamic heap allocations during runtime. Furthermore, LFK implements a privacy-preserving threat intelligence mesh using decentralized Bloom filter hashes, enabling real-time cross-device scammer mitigation without transmitting unencrypted user transcripts or private contact graphs to external servers. Benchmarks confirm that edge-based relationship-aware filtering eliminates infrastructure compute overhead for enterprise FinTech partners while maintaining a false-positive rate under 0.01%.
