Scattering Theory with Asymptotic Completeness for the Boltzmann Equation

Abstract This paper introduces a new scattering theory with asymptotic completeness for the Boltzmann equation in the $$L^{\infty }$$ L ∞ setting close to the vacuum. We investigate the long-time behavior of solutions to the Boltzmann equation using a new estimate for the Maxwellian distribution.
