Analog Potential Ontology and Digital Epistemology: A Complementarity Framework for Gravity and Computation

We propose a two-layer ontological framework in which gravity is fundamentally an analog potential field (mathematically identical to electrostatics in the weak-field limit), and the digital (discrete, computational) description is an emergent property of the measurement layer, not the ontological substrate. This framework is complementary to Digital Physics: the analog layer describes what is (continuous relational potential), while the digital layer describes how we read it (discrete, computable outcomes). Observational data (LIGO, EHT, Hubble redshift) are interpretation-neutral — they do not force a single geometric or computational ontology. The framework is invariant, non-circular, and consistent with all confirmed empirical results in the weak-field regime. Related work: "Relational Potential as a Solution to Zeno's Dichotomy Paradox"
