The Attention Crisis and Clip Thinking in the Acta Universi Hypothesis

The Attention Crisis and Clip Thinking in the Acta Universi Hypothesis Abstract (EN) The attention crisis and the rise of clip-style cognition are widely discussed but poorly unified. This paper reframes both phenomena within the Acta Universi (AU) hypothesis as a systemic shift toward elevated entropic discord δS_Θand reduced temporal coherence. Attention is treated as the directed flow of the integrated-information field Φ; clip thinking as a regime dominated by short-cycle thought-forms with high turnover and rapid decay. The resulting reinforcement loop—fragmentation increasing the craving for further short stimuli—is analyzed at individual and social levels. The framework is compared with cognitive-load theory, the attention economy, multitasking research and mindfulness approaches. It is offered as a hypothetical descriptive language for interdisciplinary testing, not as a pedagogical or clinical protocol.
