Artificial Intelligence Society vs. Librarianship Today: Contractualization of Library Personnel

Use of AI in libraries presents a number of difficulties, including moral dilemmas and the requirement for librarians to learn new skills in order to adjust to the evolving library landscape. This paper discusses about the dynamics of society, what is contractualization, its necessity, pros and cons etc. Critically analyses how the contractualization of library personnel compromises the core services of libraries and librarianship. Describe how contractualization effect the quality of library services. Concludes with the remarks that whether contractual employment is being used in a way that is consistent with the library's long-term mission and professional character should be the main concern rather than whether libraries are allowed to hire people under contract.
