TREATMENT OF MALLET FINGER DEFORMITY OF THE HAND
The results of surgical treatment of 125 patients with mallet (hammer-shaped) deformity of the fingers of the hand that developed after extensor tendon injury are presented. A developed method of restoring the extensor tendon of the fingers is described — tenoplication (plication) of the tendon and regenerative tissue with transosseous fixation using a Kirschner wire. Excellent and good results were obtained in 87.2 % of cases.
