The genome sequence of the Scots Primrose, Primula scotica Hook. (Ericales: Primulaceae)
We present a genome assembly of the hexaploid Primula scotica (Scots Primrose; Streptophyta; Magnoliopsida; Ericales; Primulaceae). The assembly consists of two haplotypes with total lengths of 3,144.64 megabases and 2,627.38 megabases. The haplotype 1 assembly and the haplotype 2 assembly each contain 27 chromosomal pseudomolecules; these account for 96.44% and 94.41% of their respective sequences. The mitochondrial genome assembly has a length of 361.6 kilobases and the plastid genome assembly has a length of 154.67 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces reference genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
