PENGELOLAAN DAN PENDISTRIBUSIAN ZAKAT MELALUI PROGRAM SATU KELUARGA SATU SARJANA (SKSS) PADA BAZNAS PROVINSI JAMBI

This study aims to analyze the management and distribution of zakat through the One Family One Graduate (SKSS) program at the National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) of Jambi Province. SKSS is a zakat-based educational program that provides assistance to university students from underprivileged families so they can complete higher education. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings show that zakat management in the SKSS program includes planning, collection, distribution, utilization, as well as reporting and accountability. Zakat is distributed in the form of educational financial assistance to eligible zakat recipients (mustahik) who have passed a selection and verification process. Supporting factors for the program’s success include institutional commitment, the involvement of Zakat Collection Units (UPZ), and effective administrative and reporting systems. Challenges faced include limited zakat funds, gaps in data on prospective recipients, and the need for more sustainable academic and non-academic mentoring. This study recommends strengthening the mobilization of productive zakat funds, digitizing mustahik data, and conducting regular evaluations of the program’s impact.
