Force Choreography in High-Field Magnets

Static magnetic containment fails above roughly 100 T because magnetic energy density exceeds the elastic energy capacity of known materials by about three orders of magnitude. This document reframes the problem from stress containment to energy choreography and examines three conditions in sequence: the Halbach field-concentration condition, the force-free condition, and the divergence-free condition. A rotating helical Halbach winding is proposed to satisfy the first two. Gauss's law is then shown to require a radial field component that the original two-component ansatz omitted. Including this component modifies the force-free condition, introduces an eddy current that cannot be cancelled by phase manipulation, and forces lamination as a design requirement. A multiplicative scaling law follows from combining force choreography, energy management, and flux concentration. The framework predicts 200–400 T in non-destructive pulsed operation and is falsifiable by staged experiments.
