Mental readiness of high voltage electricity transmission system workers: The relationship with job insecurity

The aim of this study is to investigate the potential correlation between job insecurity (JIS) and mental readiness (MR) among high voltage electricity transmission system workers. Additionally, the study aims to determine the extent and level of MR influenced by JIS, and to examine the statistical differences in MR based on various demographic factors. Various analyses, including validity, reliability, normality, correlation, multiple regression, Independent Sample T Test, and One-Way ANOVA tests, were conducted on the collected data. The results of the analyses revealed a significant negative relationship between quantitative and qualitative JIS and MR, with quantitative JIS having the most prominent impact on reducing MR among employees. Furthermore, when examining the demographic factors, it was observed that MR among high voltage electricity transmission system workers significantly varied based on employment status (public/private sector), use of depression medication, occupational accident history, employee age, education level, monthly income level, and work experience.
