From Microscopic Response to Thermal Memory in Relaxor Ferroelectrics
AbstractWe develop a microscopic description linking aging, rejuvenation, and dielectric memory in relaxor ferroelectrics. The method expands ionic displacements in a complete reference-phonon basis before retaining local polar coordinates in the retarded response. Internal collisions carry hold-written quasiparticle occupation contrasts along the temperature path, while the susceptibility sets their visibility at the probe frequency; reservoir energy exchange is treated separately. In a single-channel Debye model, dielectric-loss contrast can rise during reheating even while the occupation contrast decays. KeywordsRelaxor ferroelectrics; dielectric memory; aging and rejuvenation; retarded susceptibility; quasiparticle kinetics; phonon dynamics
