Husbandry and Breeding of Ethiopian Mountain Adder
Dan Valenta, an experienced venomous snake breeder from the Czech Republic, is known for taking on demanding herpetocultural challenges. His dedicated work has made it possible to document one of the first cases of successfully breeding the rare Ethiopian Mountain Adder (Bitis parviocula) in captivity. Long regarded as highly elusive and seldom seen in collections, this striking species remains exceptionally difficult to establish. This account details the practical husbandry, environmental parameters, and careful observations that turned a challenging project into a tangible success.
