A Library Without Gatekeepers: Distributed Examinability as the Architecture that Completes the Democratization of Legal Analysis

This work completes the promise left hanging by a companion work in the same field, The Democratization of Legal Analysis Not Yet Affordable: how the library of examined works — the place where depth already produced is trusted without being produced again — is actually built. Its position: that library must be a distributed standard, not a single custodian. A gatekept library rebuilds the very institutional accountability it means to replace; it betrays this field’s thesis, “examine the work, not its origin,” at its first clause. So what circulates is not an entry permit from one hand, but a standard of examinability that any work can pass, with a mark of conformity in the form of an auditable self-declaration. From the blockchain it takes the chain structure, provenance, and the append-only property; its coin economy is refused. This work does not theorize about that library; it becomes the first entry within it. Its horizon is also pointed out: a library that, over time, acts like jurisprudence, yet refuses the authority that flows from hierarchy or age and rests on examinability. And it closes the arc: provenance, examinability, affordability, now distribution — one nerve, naming the conditions on which a claim stands.
