The core idea, stated plainly Talk about neutrinos often fuses two things: what propagates and what a detector registers. This series keeps them apart. What propagates is called the letter: a state that evolves, accumulates phases, and in matter feels a potential. What a detector returns, after an interaction that is amplified and irreversibly recorded, is called the posture. The series changes no standard calculation. It restricts how certain sentences may be used. Four sentences the series does not allow as facts In flight, the neutrino is already of one flavour. Enough energy lets it pass the propagation limit. Why the wording keeps causing trouble Phrases such as "a muon neutrino became a tau neutrino" quietly turn a registered outcome into a fixed identity in flight. A flavour label, a flavour component of the state, and a registered flavour stamp are three different things. Matter adds a flavour-dependent potential, so there is interaction in flight, yet no stamp is issued until real interception occurs. Counts that must not be mixed Generations, distinguishable active channels, the effective species number from the Z width, and the mass eigenstates of the propagating state are four different counts. It does not decide Dirac or Majorana, the mass ordering, whether light sterile states exist, or a direct detection of the cosmic neutrino background. Abstract

Holographic Information Ontological Framework: Neutrinos (HIOF- N) From Propagation to Registration* This is a short, non-technical companion to the 9-paper HIOF- N series (Papers I to IX). It is written for readers in physics or philosophy of science, not for readers already familiar with the author's wider framework. Three distinguishable channels mean only three kinds of neutrino. Oscillation is a change of costume along the way. Standard calculations never need these sentences. The series only declines to let them be written as facts. What the series keeps Everything the standard description supplies is kept as a front-stage result: three-flavour mixing, the oscillation formula, the MSW matter effect, the energy-momentum relation and velocity formula, N-nu about 3 from the Z boson width, and the separate readings of mass-squared differences, the beta-decay effective mass, the sum of masses, and the double-beta-decay effective mass.
