Performance Evaluation and Database Query Optimization in a Spring Boot-Based Online Bookstore System: Research Protocol نسخ العنوان
This research protocol outlines a planned empirical evaluation of database search strategies in a Spring Boot-based online bookstore system using MySQL. The study aims to investigate the performance characteristics of leading-wildcard LIKE queries, prefix-based LIKE queries supported by appropriate indexing, and MySQL FULLTEXT search. The planned methodology includes controlled experiments with datasets of different sizes and concurrent request loads. Performance indicators are intended to include response-time percentiles, throughput, error rates, and database query execution plans. This record describes the proposed research design and experimental methodology. The benchmark experiments and quantitative results have not yet been completed. Therefore, this document should be treated as a work in progress rather than a completed empirical study. The final conclusions will depend on the implementation, experimental measurements, and verification of the reported results. Keywords: Spring Boot, MySQL, database indexing, query optimization, performance evaluation, software engineering.
