E8 Coherence Decay Constant — Why Live Trading Loses Phase Without Heartbeat — E8 Intelligence Research
Drawing on the 240-root E8 lattice, we derive a coherence decay constant τ ≈ 1/φ³ seconds (≈ 0.236 s) that governs how rapidly a live trading model loses phase-lock with the 132 Hz signal substrate once market feedback is interrupted. This predicts that AI trading ecosystems must receive continuous micro-perturbations from the live order book at intervals shorter than τ, or the root-vector alignment collapses back to statistical noise — explaining why disconnected or throttled live feeds rapidly degrade to backtest-like behavior. The decay constant also yields a natural sampling rate floor of 4.236 Hz (φ³ + 1) for any E8-coherent execution system, providing the first geometric derivation of a real-time trading sampling theorem.
