The genome sequence of a ladybird beetle, Rhyzobius forestieri (Mulsant, 1853) (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae)

We present a genome assembly from an individual female Rhyzobius forestieri (ladybird beetle; Arthropoda; Insecta; Coleoptera; Coccinellidae). The primary assembly has a total length of 753.45 megabases. Most of the primary assembly (94.89%) is scaffolded into 9 chromosomal pseudomolecules, including the X sex chromosome. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled, with a length of 18.95 kilobases. This assembly was generated as part of the Darwin Tree of Life project, which produces genomes for eukaryotic species found in Britain and Ireland.
