Fourteen complete genomes of nematode-mutualistic Xenorhabdus bacteria reveal their high polylysogeny

ABSTRACT Here, we report complete genome assemblies of 14 Xenorhabdus bacterial strains, previously isolated from their symbiotic Steinernema nematode hosts. These complete genomes enabled identification of complete prophage/phage-like loci that average eight per genome, indicative of high polylysogeny among Xenorhabdus bacteria.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Here, we report complete genome assemblies of 14 Xenorhabdus bacterial strains, previously isolated from their symbiotic Steinernema nematode hosts. These complete genomes enabled identification of complete prophage/phage-like loci that average eight per genome, indicative of high polylysogeny among Xenorhabdus bacteria.
