The Extent of Digital Content Creators' Influence on Educational Values among Yarmouk University Students and the Role of Islamic Education in Addressing It

Abstract Objectives: This study aimed to identify the influence of digital content creators on educational values among Yarmouk University students and to explain the role of Islamic education in addressing this influence. Methodology: The study adopted a descriptive survey design and used a questionnaire comprising 53 items distributed across four domains, administered to a sample of 402 male and female students. Results: The findings indicated a moderate overall level of influence (M = 3.29, SD = 0.57). The economic domain ranked first, followed by the intellectual and scientific, social, and affective domains. Statistically significant differences were found in favor of males, along with differences associated with university academic standing and average viewing hours; no differences were attributable to year of study. The study concluded that Islamic education has preventive and remedial roles in promoting judicious viewing and strengthening awareness of values and critical thinking. Recommendations: The study recommends integrating digital media literacy into university programs.
